New Patients

Dr. Posluszny welcomes new patients into his practice. When you call the office one of the administrative assistants will work with your schedule to find the most convenient time for you to come in for an appointment. If you must change or cancel your appointment, we require that you give 48 hour (two business days) notice. This will allow us to schedule a patient who is on our call list.

The administrative assistant will take some basic information to be able to send you a packet in the mail. Included in these packets are a health history form and a smile analysis for you to fill out prior to your appointment, along with an appointment card and brochures on our office and dental insurance.

What to expect at your first appointment:

At your first appointment one of the dental hygienists will take your health history and blood pressure, update x-rays, do an oral cancer screening, and assess your periodontal health. The hygienist will also note work that has been completed elsewhere and review your smile analysis with you so that your concerns can be addressed. Dr. Posluszny will then do a thorough exam and diagnose what treatment is needed. Because everyone's mouth and needs are different we will do our best to utilize your time well and if it is possible your initial appointment will also include a cleaning.
